It is already the end of January, when did that happen?

Is anyone interested and available for a February 4, 7:30 pm PST discussion?

We will focus on just the first third of the book, since that is what is covered in the first movie. We we discuss anything from casting choices, to the visual representation of the book, to just about anything you liked, disliked, or had no feelings about.

2013 - Books and Movies

Since we had a lot of fun last year reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and then watching the film together, this year I am proposing we do a books with movies theme.

It can be new movies releasing this year, or books that have long had a film adaptation. This will allow us to pick from a variety of genres, and will give us more to discuss as we will have a film and book to critique/analyze. We might not be able to watch together all the movies, as we did with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, since we are all geographically spread, we will set a date ahead of time to either watch the film together, or watch the movie by so that we can discuss.

I know it is already into January, but this month I am reading The Hobbit. Finally. Anyone interested is welcome to join me. Even if you haven't read it, if you have seen the movie, you will have much to contribute to the discussion later this month.

Let me know if you are interested. We can also start throwing around ideas now as to February's book/film choice.
