Here are some of the ideas that came up towards the end of our most recent chat:
- Possession, by A.S. Byatt
- Devil in the White City, by Erik Larson
- The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins
- The Shadow of the Wind, by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
- We Need to Talk About Kevin, by Lionel Shriver
- Bossypants, by Tina Fey
- A novel by Philip K. Dick
- Genres: science fiction, fantasy, mystery, non-fiction
Devil in the White City sounds really interesting to me. I love Philip K. Dick (and dystopia in general). I'm currently reading Bossypants. I've heard good things about The Hunger Games. Actually, I'm pretty jazzed about this entire list, so far.
ReplyDeleteA couple more suggestions:
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, by Rebecca Skloot

Neuromancer, by William Gibson

I second Devil in the White City, We Need to Talk About Kevin, and just to mix it up Bossypants.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to toss in City of Thieves by David Benioff.
